Commercial clinical laboratories have the added convenience of using EPR-NET’s companion program, E-LAB. E-LAB is a laboratory management system designed to improve operations within the laboratory and create a communications interface with EPR-NET to receive orders and display results. This service is available to authorized users at the hospital, the office or at home. E-LAB offers all of the basic functions needed to set up and customize laboratory data collection, management and reporting processes. E-LAB provides complete specimen management capability, including collection, verification, labeling, transportation and tracking. E-LAB software is designed to accelerate results reporting and information management, thereby streamlining operations and improving quality of care. The four basic modules of E-LAB are:
